About

Shamay began studying Flow Arts and performing arts in high school, then founded her own company in 2009. Having taught herself through travels around the world and at festivals, she turned professional in 2012.

It was in Paris during this period that she began to fuse her practice of FlowArt with “Fusion Bellydance” in classes taught by Julie de St Blanqua, Linda Faoro, and Anasma. The fusion of dance and object manipulation would become her specialty and that of her company, Hanabi Circus.

Each year, this versatile artist passionately adds new skills to her repertoire :

  • Exotic PoleDance & Floorwork with Calathea Vixen, Ariane Snowleo, Doris Arnold…
  • Aerial Dance at the Noctambules big top (Nanterre) and Aerial Dance Academy (91)
  • Modern Jazz and Vinyasa Yoga at Studio Harmonic with Laurie Carayon and Ludivine Metairie
  • Waacking with Lei the Night
  • Orchidaceae Urban Dance Intensive training in Lisbon

In addition to her solo stage performances, with Hanabi Circus, and other companies, Shamay has been teaching HoopDance since 2012, as well as all the flowarts disciplines she practices at a professional level.

She gives private lessons, but also weekly classes and workshops currently at studio Kajyn (Paris 11e).
